Le Championnat canadien de 2015 prend fin au Centre national de cyclisme de Mattamy <\/em><\/p>\n

(Milton, ON \u2013 Le 11 octobre 2015) Le Championnat canadien de 2015 s’est poursuivi pour sa cinqui\u00e8me et derni\u00e8re journ\u00e9e au Centre national de cyclisme de Mattamy \u00e0 Milton, alors que les coureurs de moins de 17 ans et de moins de 19 ans \u00e9taient en vedette sur le nouveau v\u00e9lodrome et \u00e9talaient leurs capacit\u00e9s et leur talent, dans l’espoir de conqu\u00e9rir le tr\u00e8s convoit\u00e9 maillot rouge et blanc de champion canadien.<\/p>\n

Dans la cat\u00e9gorie f\u00e9minine junior, Katherine Maine (The Cyclery-Opus) s’est empar\u00e9e du fameux maillot rouge et blanc \u00e0 l’omnium, avec un total de 221 points. Devaney Collier (\u00c9quipe Alberta) a pris la m\u00e9daille d’argent avec 204 points, tandis que Amelia Bell (\u00c9quipe NCCH p\/b DEC Ex) amassait 188 points, ce qui lui valait la m\u00e9daille de bronze.<\/p>\n

Bayley Simpson (Jet Fuel Coffee) a prouv\u00e9 qu’il \u00e9tait le meilleur coureur sur piste junior canadien, en d\u00e9fendant son titre de 2014 avec succ\u00e8s gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 plusieurs excellentes courses. Simpson a termin\u00e9 cette comp\u00e9tition de six \u00e9preuves avec un total de 227 points. De son c\u00f4t\u00e9, Thierry Kirouac-Marcassa (\u00c9quipe du Qu\u00e9bec) a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une excellente course aux points, prenant deux tours d’avance sur le peloton, passant ainsi de la cinqui\u00e8me \u00e0 la deuxi\u00e8me place au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral avec 194 points. Son co\u00e9quipier Pier-Andre C\u00f4t\u00e9 (\u00c9quipe du Qu\u00e9bec) a compl\u00e9t\u00e9 le podium avec 202 points et la m\u00e9daille de bronze.<\/p>\n

Chez les moins de 17 ans, Maggie Coles-Lyster, de Local Ride Racing, a amass\u00e9 211 points ce qui lui a valu le titre de championne canadienne, tandis que Riley Pickrell, du club de cyclisme Tripleshot, a domin\u00e9 l’omnium masculin en remportant quatre des six \u00e9preuves.<\/p>\n

Cyclisme Canada tient \u00e0 remercier tous les participants de toutes les cat\u00e9gories, ainsi que les entra\u00eeneurs, b\u00e9n\u00e9voles et le coll\u00e8ge des commissaires, de leur participation \u00e0 ce Championnat tr\u00e8s r\u00e9ussi.<\/p>\n
