OTTAWA, ON (September 2, 2025) – Following his gold medal performance on Friday, Alexandre Hayward of Quispamsis, New Brunswick, added a second podium to his name by capturing bronze in the Men’s C3 Road Race at the 2025 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships in Ronse, Belgium.
Racing in a highly competitive MC3 field, Hayward rode strongly on the challenging Belgian course, crossing the finish line in third place to secure Canada’s second medal of the championships. The result builds on his consistent international success, which includes multiple World Cup podiums, a bronze in the Time Trial earlier this season, and a Paralympic medal in Paris.
The bronze medal follows Hayward’s commanding victory in the MC3 Individual Time Trial, where he claimed Canada’s first gold of the championships. Full details of that performance can be found in Cycling Canada’s official news release.
Cycling Canada congratulates Alexandre on his continued success and celebrates the dedication and excellence of all Canadian athletes competing in Ronse. Their achievements reflect the strength of Canada’s para-cycling community.
