Another memorable edition of the Tour de lâAbitibi Women has come to an end! From challenging stages, exciting sprints, breakaways, and incredible support from local communities, our athletes once again showcased their determination, resilience, and team spirit.
Congratulations to all the riders who proudly represented the Canadian colours throughout the week. A huge thank you to the organizers, volunteers, coaches, mechanics, soigneurs, and fans who make this event possible year after year.

Itâs been over three months since the 2026 Junior Track Champs, and weâre still buzzing about the new Alberta Velodromeâš
Since opening, the @albertavelodrome has been busy with community activity. Summer is in full swing: day camps are bringing new riders onto the boards, school groups are rolling through week after week, and the track is booked solid with clubs building the next generation of talent.
Earlier this year, the velodrome reached a major milestone by hosting its firstâever national championship. Local fans and visiting athletes packed the stands, the racing was fast, and the entire community showed up to celebrate a brandânew chapter for track cycling in Alberta â€ïžđšđŠ

Cela fait plus de trois mois que se sont dĂ©roulĂ©s les Championnats juniors sur piste 2026, et nous sommes toujours sous le charme du nouveau vĂ©lodrome de lâAlbertaâš
Depuis son ouverture, @albertavelodrome nâa cessĂ© dâorganiser des activitĂ©s communautaires. LâĂ©tĂ© bat son plein : les stages de jour attirent de nouveaux cyclistes sur les pistes, les groupes scolaires se succĂšdent semaine aprĂšs semaine, et le vĂ©lodrome affiche complet avec les clubs qui forment la prochaine gĂ©nĂ©ration de talents.
Plus tĂŽt cette annĂ©e, le vĂ©lodrome a franchi une Ă©tape majeure en accueillant son tout premier championnat national. Les supporters locaux et les athlĂštes venus de lâextĂ©rieur ont rempli les tribunes, les courses ont Ă©tĂ© endiablĂ©es, et toute la communautĂ© sâest mobilisĂ©e pour cĂ©lĂ©brer un tout nouveau chapitre du cyclisme sur piste en Alberta â€ïžđšđŠ
