NEWS FLASH: DOUBLE PODIUMS AT ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

OTTAWA, ON (September 2, 2025) – Racing against a stacked international field, Elly Hoskin delivered a standout performance at the 2025 UCI Enduro World Championships, claiming her first rainbow jersey in the Women’s Elite category. The 21-year-old Canadian rider showed her resilience through overcoming a mid-race setback to post the fastest time in the final stage and secure the gold medal. Elliot Jamieson also delivered an excellent finish to claim the bronze medal at the event in the Men’s Elite category.

Hoskin entered the event coming from a strong season, having won two rounds of the 2025 World Cup. After a strong start, she lost over 30 seconds in the middle stages but fought back in the closing segments against top contenders including Britain’s Ella Conolly (2025 World Cup overall champion), Harriet Harnden (2024 winner), and France’s Mélanie Pugin, a veteran of the sport.

Hoskin said, “Coming into this race, I felt that I had already achieved my objectives for this year, so I had nothing to lose. Even though I wasn’t expecting to walk away with the jersey, I’m always trying to race my hardest and I usually let the results be what they’ll be. My goal is to keep building on this performance, carry on with refining my skills, and continue to put the puzzle pieces of racing together!”

Canada’s podiums continued in the elite men’s category, where Jamieson powered through a demanding course to claim the bronze medal. In a field stacked with world-class talent, Jamieson’s consistency and speed across stages earned him a place on the podium.

Jamieson was quoted by Canadian Cycling Magazine elated about his performance: “Words can’t explain how grateful and stoked I am to have achieved this with the most amazing people around me.”

Cycling Canada congratulates Hoskin on her world title, Jamieson on the bronze, and all the Canadian athletes competing at the Enduro World Championships. For full results and event details, visit the UCI Enduro World Championships page
