THIRTEEN ATHLETES NAMED TO REPRESENT CANADA AT 2025 UCI BMX RACING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 

OTTAWA, ON (July 30, 2025) – Cycling Canada is proud to announce the thirteen athletes selected to represent Canada at the 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Championships, taking place August 2–3 in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

The team features a mix of seasoned contenders and rising stars across Elite, U23, and Junior categories. Leading the charge in the Elite ranks are Olympian Molly Simpson; who made history this season with Canada’s first-ever BMX World Cup win, and Ryan Tougas, a consistent international threat who is looking to breakout in Copenhagen. 

Joining them in the U23 category is Dylan Tremel, demonstrating consistent progression and podium potential. Junior selections include Victoria Dubé and Zakary Kaiser, who will make their World Championship debuts after impressive showings at national-level events.

The team will be supported in Copenhagen by National Team Coach Adam Muys alongside Cycling Canada’s High-Performance staff.  

In addition to celebrating the World Championships team selections, Cycling Canada extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to all athletes competing in the BMX Challenge category. The riders exemplify the strength of the national development pathways and contribute meaningfully to the sport’s growth across the country.
