THOMAS THRALL TO REPRESENT CANADA AT 2025 UCI CYCLING ESPORTS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

OTTAWA, ON (November 13, 2025) – Cycling Canada is proud to announce that Thomas Thrall will represent Canada at the 2025 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, set to take place on Saturday, November 15 on the MyWhoosh virtual racing platform. All riders will be competing onstage in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

A three-time Canadian National Esports Champion, Thomas Thrall, returns to the world stage for a fourth consecutive year, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep passion for the discipline. His best finish at the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships came in 2023, where he placed 8th overall. With a top ten finish in his sights, Thrall is ready to take on the challenge.

“Esport has given me a second life in sport,” said Thrall. “It’s a space where I can compete at the highest level while still being present for my family. Training before sunrise or after bedtime has become the norm and it’s made me more focused and resilient.”

Thrall qualified based on his top placing at the 2025 UCI Cycling Esports World Championship semi-final, hosted on October 3.

The 2025 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships will be broadcast live on MyWhoosh’s YouTube page. For full event information please visit the UCI website.
