ATHLETES COUNCIL
The Cycling Canada Athletes’ Council serves as the collective voice of national team athletes, representing and promoting athlete perspectives on all issues that directly or indirectly affect high-performance cyclists. The Council is made up of fourteen elected National Team Athlete Representatives elected by their peers, one male and one female from each cycling discipline. The Council provides structured athlete input into Cycling Canada’s governance, policies, and programs. Members meet regularly to share insights, advance athlete-focused priorities, and ensure there is clear communication between the athlete community and Cycling Canada staff. The Council is also a direct link between athletes and Cycling Canada governance. The Chair sits on the Cycling Canada Board of Directors, and the Vice-Chair sits on the High Performance Committee. This ensures that the athlete voice is embedded at the highest levels of organizational leadership and strategic planning.
