OTTAWA, ON (October 10, 2025) – Cycling Canada is proud to announce the Canadian National Team selected to compete at the 2025 UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships, taking place on October 16–19 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event will bring together the world’s top para-cyclists at the Rio Olympic Velodrome, where Team Canada will showcase its pursuit of excellence across the C1-5 para-cycling category.
Kate O’Brien, a former Olympic track cyclist and Paralympic silver medalist, returns to the track with power and precision in the C4 class. Mel Pemble, C3 cyclist and dual-sport Paralympian, is back to defend her 2024 podium finishes, having earned silver in the Time Trial and bronze in the Omnium at last year’s Para-Cycling Track World Championships. Jessica Law continues to build momentum following her recent appearance at the 2025 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships in August, adding valuable experience to her growing list of Canadian accomplishments as a C5 cyclist. With preparations well underway at a training camp in Bromont, QC, the team is expected to deliver focused and competitive performances against the world’s best.
