CANADIAN ESPORTS CHAMPIONSHIPS AWARD 12 NATIONAL TITLES AT 2026 EDITION 

OTTAWA, ON (February 25, 2026) – Cycling Canada, in partnership with Leadout Esports, is pleased to announce the newly crowned national champions from the 2026 Canadian Esports Championships, held February 21st on Zwift. Athletes from across the country competed across 12 categories from U17 through masters, showcasing the depth of the growing Canadian esports community.  

The Masters categories kicked off the championships, delivering strong performances across all age groups. Morgan Pinnock claimed the Masters Women 35–44 title, while Marie‑Pierre Berard took the Masters Women 45–54 category with a confident ride. Diane Bomans secured the Masters Women 55–64 national jersey, and Anna Tykoliz continued her remarkable run by winning the Masters Women 65+ title, remaining undefeated since the inaugural edition of the Canadian Esports Championships. On the men’s side, Warren Muir earned the Masters Men 35–44 championship, followed by Frédéric Bergeron claiming the Masters Men 45–54 category. Bruce Bird powered to victory in the Masters Men 55–64 race, and Brian Zulkoskey captured the Masters Men 65+ title. 

In the Elite Women’s race, Tiffany Penner captured gold finishing in 1:09:56, ahead of Zoë Adam and Jennifer Ward after a decisive late‑race push. The Elite Men’s race delivered an exciting race, with Thomas Thrall securing the national title with a winning time of 1:01:29. Thrall held off a strong challenge from Merlin Dallaire and Arthur Grivel in the closing kilometres to claim the 2026 title, marking his fourth consecutive national championship. The day also featured strong performances from the next generation of Canadian esports athletes, with William Houle earning the Junior Men’s title and Riley Oosterhof claiming the U17 Men’s championship.
