Cycling Canada is continually looking for new athletes from all over the country to join the para-cycling program! If you are interested in trying out the sport, please see the steps outlined at the end of this page.
Athletes competing in handcycles: H1, H2, H3, H4, H5
The higher the number, the lower the activity limitation
Athletes competing on regular bikes: C1, C2, C3, C4, C5
Loss or limited function of lower and/or upper limb
Athletes competing on tricycles: T1, T2
Balance and lower/upper limb limitations
Athletes competing on tandems: B
Visual impairment

If you are interested in trying para-cycling, please contact Para-cycling Coordinator, Emily O’Connor.
- We will connect you to one of Cycling Canada’s NextGen para-cycling coaches closest to your geographical area;
- The NextGen coaches will make contact with you, and confirm interest/complete consultation on club opportunities in your area;
- The NextGen coaches will facilitate the introduction between athlete and the club/program of your interest;
- The NextGen coaches will do regular follow-ups and monitor your progress.
