OTTAWA, ON (October 2, 2025) – Cycling Canada is pleased to announce updates to the composition of its Board of Directors following the Annual Meeting held via video conference on September 24, 2025.
At the Annual Meeting, Cycling Canada’s member Provincial/Territorial Sport Organizations voted to elect four directors in accordance with the revised by-laws. The 2025 meeting concluded:
- Two (2) positions with three-year terms
- *Two (2) positions with one-year terms
- One (1) position with a one-year term appointed by the Board
*In order to complete the alignment of the Board’s staggered term structure.
The Board of Directors elected:
- Kelly Murray, NB (3-year term)
- Lara Check, AB (3-year term)
- Marc Gaudet, NB (1-year term)
- Becka Borody, ON (1-year term)
- Johanne Gauthier, QC (1-year term)
In a Board of Directors meeting that was held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting, the board appointed Johanne Gauthier (QC) for a 1-year term.
Continuing their ongoing terms on the Cycling Canada Board are:
- Mark Collins, Chair, ON
- Denise Ramsden, BC
- Louizandre Dauphin, BC
The position of Athlete Representative will be held by Alison Jackson by virtue of her role as Chair of the Cycling Canada Athletes’ Council.
Stepping down from the Cycling Canada Board is Pierre Laflamme (QC) and Andrea Eby (BC). The Board would like to recognize and thank them for their significant contributions during their term on the Board with special recognition to Pierre as President and Chair of the Board for five years.
Cycling Canada would like to extend a warm welcome to its newly elected and returning Board of Directors, as well as a sincere thank you to all the candidates who put their names forward in the recent election.
The Board would also like to congratulate Pierre Laflamme who has been elected on the UCI Management Committee for a four-year term. This is a historic moment, as it marks the first time a Canadian has held a position on the UCI Management Committee.
