OTTAWA, ON (July 16, 2026) – Cycling Canada is proud to announce its athlete roster selected to compete at the 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Championships in Brisbane, Australia, held July 18–19, 2026. This year’s World Championships brings together the strongest global field of Elite, U23, and Junior riders, and Canada will arrive in Brisbane with a team ready to take on the world’s best.
“We have a solid group of athletes leading into the World championships. The team has had a few solid weeks of training together following the European World Cups and I look forward to seeing the improvements the athletes have made and some personal best performances,” says National Team Coach Adam Muys.
Canada’s 2026 roster brings together a mix of riders coming off a productive early‑season World Cup block in Sarrians, France and Papendal, Netherlands. Amongst the group is Molly Simpson, one of Canada’s most consistent international contenders. Molly added multiple World Cup podiums along with an impressive string of domestic results to her resume this spring. The team also features Lucas Zhou, who took Junior Men’s bronze at the 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Championships. This year’s squad is an experienced group with solid international race exposure as they head into Brisbane.
