OTTAWA, ON (September 10, 2026) – Cycling Canada is pleased to announce the athletes selected to compete at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec et de Montréal and the Tour de Gatineau & Chrono Féminin this September. As Canada’s only UCI WorldTour races, the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal attract many of the sport’s top riders, while the Tour de Gatineau & Chrono Féminin has established itself as Canada’s premier international women’s race. With the 2026 UCI Road World Championships in Montréal taking place just over a week later, all three events will also serve as important preparation opportunities for many athletes representing Canada on the world stage ahead of the country’s largest international cycling event since the 1976 Olympic Games.
The Canadian squad for the 2026 Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec et de Montréal brings together a strong mix of experience and emerging talent. The roster includes Samuel Couture, Jérôme Gauthier, Jacob Roy, Gabriel Séguin, Adam Smith, Jonas Walton and Michael Woods. Michael Woods brings extensive WorldTour experience, while Jérôme Gauthier enters the races as the Canadian Road Race Champion. Adam Smith, Samuel Couture, and Gabriel Séguin recently represented Canada at the Tour de l’Avenir, while Jonas Walton and Jacob Roy continue to build on strong performances at home and internationally.

The Elite Women’s squad for Tour de Gatineau includes Alison Jackson, the 2023 Paris-Roubaix Femmes champion, Maggie Coles-Lyster, a multiple-time Canadian champion and Olympian, and Olivia Baril, who has earned victories and podium results across the European circuit. Joining them are Road World Champion Magdeleine Vallières Mill, Julie Lacourcière and Elissa Luo, adding further depth to the lineup. This year, Canada received special permission from the UCI to enter two teams, with a U23 squad also lining up on the start line. In the U23 ranks, Isabella and Ava Holmgren continue to establish themselves among Canada’s most promising young cyclists after impressive performances on both the road and off-road circuits, alongside Alexandra Volstad, Clémence Cousineau, Éloïse Camiré and Julianne Richard.
