OTTAWA, ON (September 27, 2025)- Magdeleine Vallières Mill has etched her name in Canadian cycling history, winning gold in the Elite Women’s Road Race at the 2025 UCI Road World Championships in Kigali, Rwanda.
The 24-year-old from Sherbrooke, Quebec, conquered the challenging 164.6 km course with a bold solo attack on the final climb, securing Canada’s first-ever world title in the Elite Road Race. Vallières Mill crossed the finish line ahead of New Zealand’s Niamh Fisher-Black and Spain’s Mavi García, delivering a career-defining performance on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
