MEL PEMBLE CLAIMS BRONZE IN WC3 SCRATCH RACE AT PARA TRACK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 

OTTAWA, ON (October 17, 2025) – Mel Pemble of Victoria, BC, powered to a bronze medal in the Women’s C3 Scratch Race at the 2025 UCI Para Track World Championships, held at the iconic Rio Olympic Velodrome in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 

A two-time World Champion in the Omnium and former Scratch Race gold medalist, Pemble executed a smart and consistent ride, positioning herself strategically throughout the race to secure third. The result adds to her impressive international resume, which includes seven World Championship medals, two Parapan Am podiums, and consistent top-tier performances on the international circuit.  

With the world’s top para track cyclists competing in Rio, Pemble rose to the occasion with focus, determination, and world-class execution. Cycling Canada extends its congratulations to Mel Pemble on her podium finish and acknowledges all Canadian athletes who proudly represent the maple leaf at the 2025 Para Track World Championships that continues into the weekend.
