A Trade Team is an incorporated or registered organization whose purpose is to promote itself, its sponsors and/or members through cycling events.
Cycling Canada affiliated Trade Teams must be formed by a group of athletes in the Junior, U23/Elite category, with 50% of the team that may be comprised of Masters athletes. Athletes riding for CC Trade Teams can participate in all cycling sports under this team. On the other hand, UCI/CC affiliated Trade Team must be formed by a group of athletes in the same cycling sport and all riders must fall under the U23/Elite category.
Benefits
There are several benefits to becoming a CC affiliated Trade Team, including:
- Promotion around the Trade Team (CC website, official results list at National events, mentions in press releases, mentions on social media, etc.)
- Access to a 36-meter square technical space allocated at National Calendar events & a 55-meter square technical space at Canadian Championships
- Allowed to enter a car in the caravan at Elite and Junior Canadian Road Championships
- One free access to the Caravan Driver online course (Road) for the team manager
- CC Road Trade teams will receive priority invitation to national calendar events, over clubs
- Access to CC special rates from official sponsors and partners
- Other specific benefits per discipline, gender and categories
