CYCLING CANADA CONFIRMS 2026 TRADE TEAMS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON

Please note: This announcement includes only Canadian Trade Teams, the UCI Trade Team announcement is coming soon.

OTTAWA, ON (March 27, 2026) – Cycling Canada is pleased to announce the confirmed roster of 2026 Trade Teams. Trade Teams play a central role in Cycling Canada’s athlete‑development pathway. Trade teams are organizations formed by groups of riders in the Junior, U23, or Elite ranks, each team must maintain a roster made up of mostly Canadian riders. This structure ensures that Canadian athletes remain at the forefront while still welcoming experienced riders who contribute to team depth, mentorship, and performance.

Riders participating on a Trade Team compete under their team banner across all cycling disciplines, benefiting from consistent branding, structured support, and cohesive team identity throughout the season. Each Trade Team must also operate under a distinct name and jersey design to preserve clarity between Trade Teams and their associated clubs.

For many riders, Trade Teams are a pivotal step in their careers, offering Junior, U23, and Elite athletes the chance to showcase their talent while working with partners for the first time. These teams teach athletes the value of promoting themselves while representing a team that will help propel them to professional racing.

As one of Cycling Canada’s longest standing Trade Teams, TaG Cycling Team shared their enthusiasm for the upcoming season, “We are happy to be starting another year of supporting young riders who are driven to take their place on the World Stage. 2025 was a successful year with a highlight being two second place finishes overall at Redlands Classic and Tour of the Gila.” Lesley  Tomlinson, Owner TaG Cycling says, “We look forward to a great season with four returning racers and six new additions from the junior ranks.”

Red Truck Racing also shared their excitement as they gear up for the year ahead. “As a national trade team, we are looking forward to building upon our successes of last year at both national and international competitions. Continuing to create development pathways for young Canadian road cyclists.”

For 2026, Cycling Canada welcomes back a strong group of returning Trade Teams whose continued commitment to athlete development strengthens the national cycling landscape. The returning teams include:

Cycling Canada is also proud to welcome two new teams in 2026:
