OTTAWA, ON (July 24, 2026) – Cycling Canada is pleased to announce the 2027 Canadian Championships calendar, showcasing national championship events across track, esports, gravel, road, BMX, mountain bike, and cyclo-cross. Delivered in collaboration with experienced organizing committees and host communities nationwide, the 2027 calendar will provide athletes with world‑class racing environments from January through to October.
“The Canadian Championships are at the heart of our domestic calendar, bringing together athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, supporters and communities from across the country to celebrate the very best of Canadian cycling,” highlights Robyn Skinner, Director of Community Growth and Events at Cycling Canada. “These events represent the culmination of a development pathway, made possible through the collective efforts of our Provincial and Territorial Sport Organizations, clubs, coaches, organizers and partners who invest their time, expertise and resources to support athlete progression at every level. We encourage fans, supporters and cycling enthusiasts to join us throughout the season, whether in person or online, to cheer on Canada’s top athletes, celebrate the communities behind their success and experience the excitement of championship racing firsthand.”
TRACK
The 2027 season opens in Bromont with the Canadian Track Championships (Elite/Masters/Para), taking place January 8–10 at the Centre National de cyclisme de Bromont. Later in the spring, Edmonton will host the Canadian Track Championships (U17/Junior) from April 16–18, organized by the Alberta Velodrome Association, the second national championship held at the newly opened Velodrome.
ESPORTS
The Canadian Esports Championships will return on the Zwift platform, February 20 hosted by Leadout Esports.
GRAVEL
The Canadian Gravel Championships will take place in Duncan, BC from June 12–13. Organized by Panache Cycling Sports Ltd, the event will bring athletes to Vancouver Island for a competitive race in the heart of the Cowichan Valley.
ROAD
Saint‑Georges, QC will once again welcome athletes to the demanding terrain that has made the location a cornerstone of Canadian road racing for over 40 years for the Canadian Road Championships (Elite/Junior/Para) from June 25–28. The Canadian Road Championships (Masters) will follow later in the summer, taking place in Calgary, AB from July 31–August 2, organized by Bow Cycle and Sports.
BMX
The Canadian BMX Championships return to Haut‑Richelieu, QC from July 3–4, delivered by BMX Haut‑Richelieu. Later in the season, Bromont will host the Canadian Freestyle BMX Championships on September 24, organized by the Centre National de cyclisme de Bromont. Both events will highlight Canada’s growing BMX community across racing and freestyle disciplines.
MOUNTAIN BIKE
Mont‑Sainte‑Anne will host the Canadian XCO & XCC MTB Championships from July 15–18, organized by Club Cycliste Mont‑Sainte‑Anne. For the gravity oriented riders, the Canadian Downhill MTB Championships will take place in Sun Peaks, BC from July 17–18. In the fall, Sault Ste. Marie, ON will host the Canadian XCM MTB Championships on September 11. The Canadian Enduro MTB Championships will take place September 18–19, with location to be confirmed.
CYCLO‑CROSS
The season will conclude in Oro‑Medonte, ON with the Canadian Cyclo‑Cross Championships, taking place October 29–31. As one of the most dynamic and high energy races on the calendar, cyclo‑cross will provide an exciting finale to the 2027 Canadian Championships season.
