OTTAWA, ON (August 14, 2026) – Cycling Canada is pleased to announce the athletes selected to represent Canada at the 2026 UCI Junior Track World Championships, taking place August 19 to 23 at the Sport Vlaanderen Heusden‑Zolder Velodrome in Limburg, Belgium. In less than a week, Canada’s fastest junior track cyclists will take to the boards for five days of competition where 22 world titles, 11 for men and 11 for women, will be awarded. Track remains the only cycling discipline with a stand-alone UCI World Championships dedicated exclusively to Junior athletes, and our athletes are ready to take on the world’s best.

Our junior athletes have shown consistent growth throughout the season, and this championship is an important opportunity for them to test themselves against the best in the world,” highlights Phil Abbott, National Team Coach.
The 2026 roster consists of a dedicated group of junior riders with strong international and domestic results. Alexandra Fangeat leads the squad as a past medalist after earning the bronze medal in the Junior Women’s Points Race at the 2025 Junior Track World Championships. The team also features seven returning athletes from last year’s Junior Track Worlds roster: Alexandra Fangeat, Cohen Vigliotti, Élodie Malois, Eve Buczkowski, Matthew Payne, Sheldon Drewitt, and West Pollock, alongside a promising group of new talent.
