OTTAWA, ON (October 2, 2026) – Cycling Canada is pleased to announce the athletes selected to represent Canada at rounds 5 through 8 of the UCI BMX Racing World Cup series, taking place in China.
The competition will begin with rounds 5 and 6 in Mentougou before moving to Chongli for rounds 7 and 8, where Canadian riders will race against some of the world’s top BMX athletes in pursuit of valuable international experience and World Cup points.
The Canadian squad features a mix of national champions, a world champion, and experienced international competitors. Riders Victoria Dubé and Lucas Zhou enter the World Cup series as Canada’s current National Champions in their respective categories, with Zhou also holding a UCI World Championship title. In the elite ranks, Curtis Krey and Molly Simpson will represent Canada as the Elite National Champions. Simpson, a Paris 2024 Olympian, heads to China with strong momentum after capturing silver and bronze medals at the most recent rounds of the UCI BMX Racing World Cups. Alongside fellow juniors Keira Murphy, and Zakary Kaiser, the Canadian squad will look to build on a successful domestic and international season and challenge for top results against the world’s best BMX athletes.

Competition will get underway in Mentougou, China, on October 3-4 before concluding in Chongli, China, on October 10-11.
