OTTAWA, ON (August 12, 2026) – Cycling Canada is proud to welcome the country’s top BMX Freestyle athletes to Bromont, QC, as the 2026 Canadian BMX Freestyle Championships return to the Centre National de Cyclisme de Bromont (CNCB) from August 14–16. The event will bring together elite and development riders from across Canada for a thrilling weekend of competition.
Hosted in CNCB’s Freestyle Zone, the championships will showcase athletes on a park designed to reward daring tricks, creativity, and exceptional performances. Riders will compete for national titles, with the weekend serving as an important benchmark for Canada’s emerging freestyle talent and a key development opportunity for athletes progressing toward international competition.
The weekend will include three days of activity at the Centre National de Cyclisme de Bromont. Friday will feature the full Canadian Championships program, including official training for Elite and Open categories, followed by championship runs and podium presentations. Saturday provides an additional unofficial practice window for athletes preparing for Sunday’s competition. The schedule concludes on Sunday with the UCI C1 BMX Freestyle Park event, with podium presentations closing the weekend.
A strong group of returning athletes will be back on the start line this year, including Marie‑Soleil St‑Laurent, the 2025 Elite Women’s winner. Maxime Chalifour, the 2024 and 2025 Elite Men’s national champion will also return, alongside riders like Jeffrey Whaley and Xavier Wright, adding depth and experience to an already competitive field.
