OTTAWA, ON (April 29, 2026) – Cycling Canada is pleased to announce the athletes selected to represent Canada at the Bill Buckley Junior Spring European Project, a development initiative that is designed to provide junior riders with meaningful international race experience across Belgium, the Czech Republic, and France this spring.
Funded by the historic $200,000 donation from Bill Buckley, the project expands competitive opportunities for Canada’s next generation of cyclists, offering exposure to race environments that shape long-term athlete development.

The Junior Men’s project will take on two major European events in the Czech Republic: Grand Prix West Bohemia (May 2-3) and the Course de la Paix Juniors (May 7-10). The Junior Women’s project will race a Belgian kermesse (May 2-3), the In Flanders Fields – Middelkerke–Wevelgem (May 10), and the two‑day Tour du Gévaudan Occitanie Femmes (May 16–17) in France.
