OTTAWA, ON (August 22, 2026) – Cycling Canada is thrilled to celebrate Eve Buczkowski, who today has claimed the junior women’s gold medal and the coveted rainbow jersey in the Junior Women’s Points Race at the 2026 UCI Junior Track World Championships in Limburg, Belgium.

The Ontario rider, currently racing for Milton Revolution Racing, delivered an incredible performance at the Sport Vlaanderen Zolder velodrome to secure her first-place finish ahead of her fellow competitors. Buczkowski’s gold finish marks a major milestone for Cycling Canada’s next generation of track talent and caps off an incredible week for the young athlete. Earlier in the championships, Buczkowski helped power the junior women’s team pursuit squad to a new Canadian national record, laying the groundwork for her individual victory in the Points Race.
Buczkowski’s world title is a breakthrough moment in her career, building on stellar domestic results from this season. Earlier in 2026, Eve added to her collection of national titles at the Canadian Junior Track Championships with eight medals, and a national title in the Team Pursuit. Off the track, Eve has showcased her talent across multiple road races this season, including the Tour de l’Abitibi and the Coupe de l’Avenir. While over in Europe she gained valuable experience racing in Belgian kermesses, the In Flanders Fields-Middelkerke- Wevelgem and Tour du Gévaudan Occitanie Femmes as part of the Bil Buckley Junior Spring European Project.
