In the Elite/U23 men’s category, Jérôme Gauthier powered to victory in a competitive race. Gauthier said, “This is an incredible feeling; I don’t quite know what to think right now! I am just going to enjoy the moment and have fun.”

We would like to celebrate three riders in the JR/ U17 men’s road race, who came across an injured rider and sacrificed their own races to call for assistance. Ian McLean, Léonard Boisvert and Jack Kennedy, thank you for your sportsmanship. It is a great reminder that even though we race for different teams, we race as one community.
Alexandra Volstad earned her second jersey of the Championships by defending her 2025 U23 women’s title. In the Elite women’s field, Maggie Coles-Lyster returned to the top step, reclaiming the maple leaf jersey four years after her last national road race win. “It’s amazing. It’s been four years since I won it, and after the past year with my surgery, it’s been a really fun comeback,” said Coles-Lyster. “I’m really happy where I am and that I get to wear the maple leaf this year.”
Sunday’s criterium racing closed out the Championships with fast laps through downtown Saint-Georges, where national titles went to Élodie Malois (U17/ Junior Women), Cédric Fiset (U17/ Junior Men), Laury Millette (Elite/U23 Women), and Jayden McMullen (U23–Elite Men).
With maple leaf jerseys awarded across all categories, the 2026 Canadian Road Championships showcased the depth of Canadian road talent at one of the year’s most anticipated national events.
