OTTAWA, ON (July 15, 2026) – Canada’s top mountain bike athletes are set to compete in Langford, British Columbia as the city hosts the 2026 Canadian XCO/XCC Mountain Bike Championships, held July 16–19 at Jordie Lunn Bike Park. Delivered in partnership with Panache Cycling Sports and integrated into the annual Langford Bikefest, the event will bring together U17, junior, U23, elite and masters riders from across the country for four days of racing in Cross‑Country Olympic (XCO), Short Track (XCC), and Team Relay disciplines.
“We are pleased to welcome fans and spectators back to Langford for another edition of the Canadian XCO/XCC Mountain Bike Championships,” says Cycling Canada’s Events and Officials Manager, Jacob Graper. “The Jordie Lunn Bike Park has served as a premier cycling arena for mountain bike riders, and we are eager to watch them compete for the coveted maple leaf jersey this weekend.”
Set in the heart of Langford, the park offers a challenging riding landscape, featuring more than 10km of interconnected single‑track, double‑track, downhill trails, a flow trail, Jump Zone, Skills Zone, paved pump track, and a pro‑level dirt jump line.
The 2026 Championships will feature an extremely strong field, with a deep roster of returning national champions and World Cup performers. Cole Punchard, the 2025 Elite Men’s XCO champion, is set to defend his title, while Marin Lowe and Ian Ackert, Canada’s 2025 U23 XCO national champions will also be on the start line. Ella MacPhee arrives after a standout run in the World Cup series, joined by fellow U23 World Cup medalist Rafaëlle Carrier. In the men’s field, Carter Woods returns to the national stage after a top ten World Cup performance in Andorra, defending his 2025 Elite Men’s XCC title.
The championship begins on Thursday with the Canadian Challenge XCC events in the morning, followed by the Championship XCC races for U17, Junior, U23, and Elite categories in the late afternoon and evening. Friday transitions into XCO competition, featuring Masters categories and medal ceremonies. The weekend delivers two full days of championship racing, with Saturday hosting all U17, Junior, U23, and Elite XCO national titles, and Sunday closing out the event with youth Challenge races and the Canadian Championship Team Relay.
