We are confident that Sébastien will play a leading role in driving this evolution.”

Sébastien acknowledged both the responsibility and opportunity associated with the role.

“I am honoured to take on this position at such a pivotal time for Cycling Canada,” said Sébastien Travers. “We have a significant opportunity ahead of us, to align our efforts across the system, support our athletes with clarity and purpose, and translate their potential into consistent international performance. This will be driven by a clear and ambitious high-performance plan that prioritizes athlete well-being, empowers coaches, and places excellence at the core of everything we do.”

As part of his mandate, Sébastien will focus on:

  • Clarifying and implementing a coherent, system-wide high-performance approach, clearly articulated and effectively communicated
  • Strengthening relationships and engagement with athletes, coaches, and stakeholders across the country
  • Defining clear performance goals and pathways to podium success
